The end of a era

So we have finally reached the end of my long painful and interesting journey. I noticed in the last couple of days that the base of the nail, what used to be the cuticle had begun to erode. Of course my inner child cut loose and I began to pick away at the beautiful decay. As I worked through the day schilling skateboards I couldn't stop looking at THE NAIL. Perhaps I should continue helping the erosion of my nail. To my delight the nail had now become crisp and fragile like a sundried pringles potato chip. I am quite sure if you put a microphone close enough you could hear it snap and crackle! As I continued to ponder the finality of my nail I then began to fantisize on ways to hasten the nails escape. First there was radical nail clipping. Next was the time consuming nail filing till it wore down. On and on were the possibilities. Here is how it really happened.

Upon entering the bathroom at home my eyes were drawn to a large toe nail clipper. Slightly protruding from the inner workings of the clipper was the standard micro nail file/toe gunk removal tool. Ah yes, the tip of the instrument looked perfect for exploring the nail. I was just poking around to see if it was loose when I dug in a bit deeper and lo and behold.... Up lifed the edged of the nail! Yes! I could feel freedom was just a flick away. With a boldness unknown to any stripmall manicurist I flicked the nail and off it flew exposing what you see in the photos.

Enjoy the show and I am sorry to say no more gory details, just perhaps an occasional update on the healed nail.
